El València Club de Fútbol, més conegut com a València, es va fundar el 18 de març de 1919. Des d'aquell dia, grans jugadors com Alberto Kempes, Predrag Mijatovic, Claudio López, Santiago Cañizares, Pablo Aimar, Gaizka Mendieta, David Villa o David Silva han vestit la samarreta valencianista. La millor època del club va ser entre 1998 i 2004, durant aquest període l'equip ché va guanyar 2 lligues, 1 Europa League i va arribar a 2 finals de Champions consecutivament. A nivell nacional el millor moment va ser durant la dècada dels 40 quan el club va aconseguir 3 lligues.

L'estadi de Mestalla es va inaugurar el 20 de maig de 1923 i actualment té una capacitat de 55.000 espectadors.
