The Sport Club Freiburg e.V., better known as SC Freiburg or simply Freiburg, was founded on May 30, 1904. The Europa-Park Stadion, formerly known as the Dreisamstadion, Badenova-Stadion and Mage Solar Stadion, opened in 1954 and since then hosts all SC Freiburg matches. Currently it has a capacity of 25.000 spectators and it is located in the Waldsee district east of the city of Freiburg.
