Civitas Metropolitano Location
The Civitas Metropolitano Stadium, formerly known as Wanda Mereopolitano, is located in the district of San Blas-Canillejas in the city of Madrid. Right next to the M-40 motorway between the streets Avenida de Luis Aragonés and Avenida de Arcentales. It was inaugurated in 1994 as a multi-purpose stadium and underwent a remodelling process in 2004. It was not until 2022 that, for sponsorship reasons, it was renamed as the Civitas Metropolitan Stadium. From that same year on and following another remodelling process, it was inaugurated as official stadium of the Atletico de Madrid. Previously, the red and white team played its matches in the Vicente Calderón Stadium.

The red and white team´s coliseum can accommodate 68.000 fans. The historic museum of Atletico Madrid, a sacred place for the "Colchonero"-fans in the Civitas Metropolitan Stadium, displays the club´s trophies and offers a tour of the club´s successes by way of audio-visual material, football boots, balls and other objects of worship that display the past, present and future of the Atleti.
How to get to the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium
Metro
There is a metro station right in front of the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium. Since 2017, the station is named the "Estadio Metropolitano" and is located on the line 7 (orange). It is the largest station of the entire Madrid network, its dimensions are truly colossal, as it was built with the intention of accommodating the thousands of fans using it.
Bus
Do you prefer to take the bus to the stadium of the Atletico Madrid? These five lines connect the metropolitan area of Madrid with the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium: 28, 38, 48, 140, E2.
You have multiple options to access the red and white stadium in one of the most comfortable, economical and environmentally-friendly means of transport, enabling you to enjoy the panorama of the capital city.
Madrid's city buses run every day of the year; Most of them operate during the daytime, from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm, however, there is also a night service known as the Owl.
Train
Renfe connects several districts of the Madrid metropolitan area with the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium by way of its network. Club members and fans can visit the stadium to cheer their team on by taking any train which stops at the Coslada station, specifically the C-2 or C-7 lines. As the Coslada station is quite far from the stadium by foot, it is necessary to transfer and take the underground line 7 at the same station and get off two stops later, at the "Estadio Metropolitano" station.
Car
Given the easy access to the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium from the M-40 motorway, spectators who arrive at the facilities of the Atletico Madrid by car to watch a football match or any other event will not experience any difficulty accessing the stadium.
However, to avoid traffic jams in the surroundings of the stadium and to be able to access your seats well in advance, it is advisable to use public transport or park nearby and access the stadium by foot. In any case, the stadium offers 4,000 parking spaces (1.000 inside and 3.000 outside of the stadium) available to all fans.

In order to make it even easier for you to find your seat among the crowds, once inside the compound, we will explain the meaning of each of the numbers contained on the entry ticket, as follows:
- Gate and stairway: these are the main references for access to the stadium´s bleachers, amphitheaters and galleries, as well for exit at the end of the game.
- Sector: each of the sectors is marked with a three-digit number and divided by corridors, so you only need to make sure you are crossing the right one. If you look closely, the first digit indicates the level of the seat and the other two correspond to the numbering of the sectors.
- Row: Once you have located your sector, you should be in front of the row in which your seat is located.
- Seat: now all you have to do is to locate the number that appears at the access to your seat. At this point, just relax and trust the players to provide you with a spectacular show of football, magic tricks and beautiful goals that will shake the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium. Above all, do not miss out on singing the rojiblanco anthem and supporting the team with thunderous applause, cheers and cries of "Olé".

Safety regulations for access to the Civitas Metropolitano stadium
Pursuant to the FIFA regulations, the following basic safety regulations must be observed during all matches performed at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium:
- Any type of material (flags, banners…) promoting xenophobia, racism and violence is restricted.
- Access to the stadium with oversize objects which do not fit under the seat and represent an obstacle in case of an emergency, is not permitted.
- In the same sense, objects that can be used as a weapon, cause fires or represent a potential health hazard, as well as those that distract the player´s and the referee´s attention or produce a disproportionate noise level, are forbidden.
- Cameras and recording equipment, other than for personal use, are not allowed.
- The possession of illegal substances, not limited exclusively to drugs, is strictly prohibited.
- Access to the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium with animals is not allowed, except in the case of handicapped persons.
- Accessing the stadium in possession of other objects that may compromise public safety or limit the view of the other spectators are also considered grounds for refusal of access to the stadium.
