The Torneo Intermedio Uruguay is a club tournament that has been held since 2017. It is played exactly as its name says, in the middle of the Apertura and the Clausura, with the aim of making more matches during the year.
Whoever wins the Intermediate Tournament will automatically qualify for the Uruguayan Super Cup, against the Uruguayan champion. The top winner of this tournament is the Nacional.
