The Copiapo Sports Club was founded in 1999. This modern club had its beginnings in the Third Division, but managed to improve over the years and currently participates in the First Division of Chile.

The Luis Valenzuela Hermosilla stadium was inaugurated in 1960 and remodeled in 2011. It has a capacity to receive 8,500 spectators and you can be one of them.
