The Swiss Super League is the highest division of football in Switzerland. It has been founded in 1898 and currently only 10 teams participate. It is played from the end of July until May of the following year. Although some Liechtenstein clubs participate, only a Swedish team can be crowned champion, as well as only a Swede can participate in UEFA tournaments.
